Find Your Gap™ is a self-reflection and coaching tool. It is not a psychological, clinical, or diagnostic assessment, does not diagnose any condition, and is not a substitute for care from a licensed professional.

The six Gaps
  • 01Clarity

You think you know what needs to change. You actually don’t — not specifically enough to act on.

I need to get more organized.

    You might be here if

    • You’ve written the same goal on three different lists and none of them says what to do Monday
    • You can describe the outcome in detail and the first step not at all
    • Every time you sit down to start, you end up researching instead

If someone asked you what the very next action is, could you name it in one sentence?

  • 02Environment

Your conditions are quietly working against the behavior. You keep trying to out-willpower your own calendar.

I’ll do it when things slow down.

    You might be here if

    • The work you care most about only gets whatever is left at the end of the day
    • You’ve been waiting for a quieter season for more than a year
    • You do it well on vacation and never at home

Has anything about your actual week changed since you decided?

  • 03Skill

Nobody ever taught you how to do the thing. You’ve been treating a training problem like a character flaw.

I just need to be more disciplined.

    You might be here if

    • You avoid one specific part of the task, not the whole task
    • You’ve read about it more times than you’ve done it
    • You could teach someone the easy half and go quiet on the rest

Is it that you won’t do it — or that nobody ever showed you how?

  • 04Belief

What you believe about yourself, the work, or what’s possible is in direct conflict with what this change requires.

    That works for other people.

    You might be here if

    • You have a reason ready before you have a plan
    • You describe the goal, then immediately explain why it might not work
    • Succeeding at this would genuinely surprise you

What would have to be true for this to work — and do you believe any of it?

  • 05Identity

The behavior doesn’t fit who you understand yourself to be. So you drift back to the version of you that feels familiar.

That’s just not who I am.

    You might be here if

    • You do the thing for two weeks and then start feeling like you’re performing
    • You’ve said “I’m not a ___ person” about the exact skill this requires
    • Getting what you want would change how people describe you

Who would you have to become — and is some part of you resisting that?

  • 06Alignment

You’re pursuing something you don’t actually want anymore. And no amount of discipline will fix a goal that isn’t yours.

    I should want this.

    You might be here if

    • You feel relief, not disappointment, when a deadline slips
    • You’re chasing something you chose five years ago and haven’t revisited since
    • You can’t actually remember deciding you wanted this

If nobody would be disappointed, would you still be doing this?

What you’ll leave with
  • Your Primary Gap
  • Your Secondary Gap, when applicable
  • What it may look like in real life
  • Coach Key's reframe and interpretation
  • Your first shift — a Know / Decide / Act experiment
  • Your recommended next move

You will not be given a score, a label or a personality type. You’ll be given a starting point.
